THE NEW ENGLAND SECTION

OUR ORGANIZATION

The New England Section of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) is comprised of many individuals, organizations and companies whose interests are in furthering the arts of theatre planning and design, construction, equipment, aesthetics, presentation, operation, and training. We are dedicated to developing the organization to meet the needs of our members as they relate our mission and to make our Section beneficial, educational and enjoyable to all.

OUR MISSION

The New England Section of USITT is a growing group of design and production professionals in the performing arts actively promoting the advancement of the knowledge and skills of its members and the performing arts profession by:

1. Establishing a network of theater professionals who provide mutual support as it relates to stage technology, resource information and employment opportunities
   
2. Disseminating information about current aesthetic and technological developments in the performing arts of our region
   
3. Providing venues which promote and encourage the exchange of ideas and increase our exposure to all its members
   
4. Provide exposure to students of all levels to the theatrical community in the New England area

USITT is dedicated to the professional development of men and women who are an integral part of the performing arts community.
